(FOX 5/KUSI) — At least one person died in a crash that involved a motorcycle and several vehicles on I-805 in Chula Vista on Monday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol’s incident log, the crash happened shortly after 8 p.m. in the southbound lanes of the highway near Telegraph Canyon Road.
The crash and investigation resulted in the overnight closure of at least three southbound lanes, which as of 6 a.m. Tuesday were still closed.
A CHP official confirmed to FOX 5/KUSI on Tuesday morning that the crash was a fatal one, but did not provide details on the number of people involved or their status.
At the crash site, a red sedan was visible on its side close to the inside concrete barrier.
