(FOX40.COM) — The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office responded to a man being shot in the leg in South Sacramento on Sunday morning.

According to SCSO, the shooting happened on the 9500 block of Osman Way near the Vintage Park area at around 5:30 a.m., with a man being shot in the leg once.
The man was transported to a local hospital by a family member to be treated for his non-life-threatening wound, SCSO said.
SCSO believes that the man was legitimately shot while walking outside.
At this time, the cause of the shooting is unknown.
