(FOX40.COM) — A man sustained a graze wound from a shooting in South Sacramento on Thursday evening.
According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded near Martin Luther King Jr. and 47th Avenue at around 7:30 p.m. for an adult male who sustained a non-life-threatening graze wound.
SCSO stated that the shooting originally started on the freeway. The victim driving the car took an exit and ended up near MLK and 47th Avenue.
The victim sustained a minor grazed gunshot wound, and after deputies arrived at the scene, they rendered aid and had him transported to a local hospital.
A spokesperson with SCSO said that this shooting is likely to be targeted, but it is uncertain if it was gang-related.
Officials said that the victim’s car had three people inside.
At this time, information on the suspect is unknown, and the freeway was not shut down.
