Food spills onto I-15 after semi-truck rolls in Juab County, causes delays

LEVAN, Utah (ABC4) — Fire crews responded to a semi-truck on its side on I-15 in Juab County early Friday morning.

Just after 1:30 a.m., a semi carrying several cases of food, tipped over at mile marker 197 near the town of Levan, Utah just a few minutes south of Nephi. Food cases spilled out onto the highway; however, officials with the Levan Fire Department are assuring the public that nothing hazardous was spilled from the cases.

The driver of the semi was not seriously injured and was able to walk away from the crash, officials said in a social media post.

Crews did find a small diesel fuel leak and contained it quickly. I-15 was delayed following the crash but has since been cleared.
