PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A motorcyclist is dead after a crash in North Portland late Monday night, according to police.
Officers responded to the intersection of N Columbia Boulevard and Fiske Avenue around 9:29 p.m. to find a motorcycle had crashed into a semi-trailer truck.
Portland police said the rider was taken to the hospital, but later died of his injuries. The truck driver remained at the scene, and no arrests were made.
Investigators said the motorcycle rider seemed to have lost control after hitting a set of railroad tracks. They also said speed was a factor.
