(FOX40.COM) — Sacramento police found an adult male who had sustained one gunshot wound on Sunday morning in North Sacramento.

According to SPD, the shooting took place near Mahogany Street and North Avenue around 4 a.m. When officers arrived, they found one man with at least one gunshot wound.
SPD stated that the officers attempted life-saving measures until the fire department arrived to relieve them; The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators have been called to the scene to investigate the incident. They will be processing the scene, collecting evidence, and speaking to witnesses.
