(FOX40.COM) — A victim of assault who was found unconscious died Friday night, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

Around 9:45 p.m., SPD responded to reports of an assault. When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found an unconscious man. SPD said crews attempted life-saving measures. However, the victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
No arrests have been made and the incident remains under investigation. Anyone with relevant information can call SPD at 916-808-5471.
