Scattered weekend rain but not a washout

Clouds will be more persistent south of I-70 through the day with more sunshine to the north. Spotty showers and maybe a few storms at times, especially through the afternoon. It won’t be a washout and not everyone will see rain.

By Sunday morning, showers and storms may move into the southern portion of our viewing area. Again, this does not look like widespread rain for the entire region, but some could see it. Scattered storms remain in the forecast for Sunday afternoon.

There will likely be a complex of storms moving out of Iowa Sunday evening into the overnight hours. We’ll have to watch the track of this for potential impacts to our region.

Rain chances continue Monday as a front pushes through the area. Tuesday will be a relatively nice day behind the front with sunshine and highs in the upper 80s.
