RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Another weekend act of violence happened outside of a Raleigh club, according to police, making it the third weekend in a row.
Officers responded just after 1 a.m. Sunday to the parking lot at a strip mall on the 3600 block of Calvary Drive.
Officers told CBS 17 two people were shot. They were taken to WakeMed with non-life-threatening injuries.
One witness who was in a nearby nightclub recapped the frightening details when he heard what happened outside.
“Everybody was just in the club having fun, and we was just dancing and stuff like that, said Zymere Walters. “Next thing you know, there was just a drive by and we heard shots, and we just ran to the back of the club and tried to get out.”
No suspect is currently in custody at this time, as this shooting remains under investigation.
This is a developing story.
