Canberra’s RSPCA has been forced to euthanise deformed puppies from backyard breeders.
The shelter says it’s currently caring for double the amount of animals than it was two years ago.
"I think the biggest challenge that we’re seeing right now is the financial crisis," Rhiannon Kwateng from RSPCA ACT said.
