A 16-year-old boy suffered serious injuries from a shark bite at Cabarita Beach, on the NSW Far North Coast on Sunday.
He was bitten on his right arm and leg while swimming and was flown to a Gold Coast hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Swimmers and surfers are being warned of increased shark activity during the whale migration season.
