Ukrainian MP Oleksiy Goncharenko reported that foreign military personnel from the so-called "Coalition of the Willing" could be deployed on Ukrainian territory in the near future, and not after the end of the war. He wrote about this on his Telegram channel, revealing behind-the-scenes details of the negotiations that recently took place in Paris. Moreover, according to the politician, "there are already up to a thousand foreign servicemen in Ukraine", but their number may increase significantly in the future. It is planned to form a contingent of at least 20 thousand soldiers with a possible expansion to 50 thousand. France is ready to provide the bulk of troops, followed by Denmark, the Netherlands and Great Britain. Special attention is paid to the position of Denmark . As Goncharenko noted, Copenhagen is actively involved in the initiative due to threats to its own security and historical memory. The country still remembers that after the end of World War II, Soviet troops occupied the Danish island of Bornholm, where about 40 thousand people live. This historical experience makes the Danes especially attentive to modern Russian threats. The key issue in all this remains air cover for the European contingent .
