A fire that broke out at an oil refinery in Tuapse, Krasnodar Krai, following Ukrainian drone strikes has been burning for two days. Footage of the blaze has been shared on Telegram channels. According to reports, smoke from the fire has spread up to 250 kilometers over the Black Sea. Despite the involvement of 177 firefighters and 56 pieces of equipment, the fire has not yet been brought under control. The blaze intensified after the April 16 drone attack and spread to additional storage tanks. It should be noted that the Tuapse oil refinery is the only such facility located on Russia’s Black Sea coast. It is also one of the country’s ten largest oil refineries, with an annual processing capacity of about 12 million tons. The facility has been repeatedly targeted by Ukrainian drones.
