On the night of November 26, the city of Cheboksary in the Chuvashia Republic of Russia was attacked by drones. Ukrainian kamikaze drones struck the Progress military plant. The strike caused an explosion and fire at the plant. The plant produces satellite signal receivers of the Comet/Comet M family for radio-electronic warfare equipment. Comet modules are used in the Caliber, X-69, Iskander-M, Banderol missiles and the Harpy-A1, Orlan-10, Lastochka-M, Cartograph, Forpost, and Orion drones. It should be noted that this is not the first attack on the plant located 1,000 kilometers from the border with Ukraine. Local authorities confirmed the attack on the city and said that two people were injured as a result of the drone strike. Cheboksary airport temporarily suspended operations starting at night.
