– 500 Russian drones and missiles attacked Ukrainian cities last night in the biggest strike of its kind this year. “Russians are not serious about peace,” said NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in Kyiv on the eve of the next round of negotiations between the Kremlin and Ukraine in Abu Dhabi.
– As the war in Ukraine is about to enter its fifth year, Poles continue supporting their Ukrainian neighbors. In a heart-warming gesture, they’ve sent a thousand liters of the traditional Polish rye soup żurek to help people suffering from the cold in Kyiv.
– “The EU–Norway Security and Defense Partnership is moving from paper to action,” said the EU’s top diplomat Kaja Kallas at the Arctic Frontiers conference in Tromsø. This year’s meeting is dedicated entirely to bolstering Western defense capabilities in the far north.
