RUSSIA ACCUSED OF BREAKING CEASEFIRE AS OVERNIGHT ATTACKS STRIKE UKRAINIAN CITIES
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha accused Russia of violating a ceasefire initiated by Ukraine at midnight on Wednesday. The violation came in the form of a Russian attack that unfolded overnight. Drones, missiles, and guided bombs were used in attacks on several Ukrainian cities.
TRUMP PAUSES PROJECT FREEDOM TO TEST POTENTIAL IRAN DEAL
Donald Trump said on Tuesday that the U.S. military operation escorting ships through the Strait of Hormuz would be paused for a short period to see if a deal with Iran can be reached, adding that he had been requested to do so by Pakistan. The U.S. naval blockade is set to remain in place. The announcement came just hours after Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the combat operation against Iran has ended and the U.S. would instead focus on Project Freedom.
FIREFIGHTING PLANE CRASHES IN SOUTHEAST POLAND BLAZE
A firefighting aircraft crashed battling a massive forest fire in Poland’s southeast, killing the pilot. The blaze has since stopped spreading, according to Polish Interior Minister Marcin Kierwiński, but firefighting operations are still ongoing.
