Russian propagandists have produced a report in Ukraine’s occupied Luhansk region, falsely presenting almost an entire destroyed S-400 air defence system battery as destroyed Ukrainian military equipment. Video footage released in social media shows Russians passing by the area that is filled with ruins. “Here, pay attention to the destroyed equipment. At one time, our combat brigade of the DPR hit them. The Ukrainians were hiding here. They were hiding from us, but ours were accurate,” the man boasted. However, it doesn’t take long for Russians to expose themselves. To the question whether the military equipment belongs to NATO, one of the men responded that it was Russian. Ukraine has inflicted heavy losses on Russia since Moscow launched its full-fledged invasion of the country in February 2022. Around 1.24 million Russian military personnel have been killed, wounded, or missing, with daily additions continuing since the start of the war. In addition, Russia has lost 11,600 tanks, about 24,000 armored combat vehicles, nearly 37,000 artillery systems, 1,600 multiple-launch rocket systems, 1,290 air defense systems, 435 fixed-wing aircraft, 347 helicopters, well over 120,000 operational-tactical drones, roughly 4,200 cruise missiles, around 77,000 vehicles and fuel tankers, and over 4,000 special military vehicles and other equipment in its war of invasion.
