Russians Call For Putin’s Removal As War Destroys The Country

As Vladimir Putin arrives in China projecting confidence abroad, back home in Russia anger and panic are rapidly spreading in the aftermath of Ukraine’s massive drone assault on Moscow and targets across the country. Russians are flooding social media demanding answers, demanding change, and increasingly questioning whether Putin can still protect the nation after Ukrainian drones penetrated deep into Russian airspace yet again.

Meanwhile, on the battlefield, Ukrainian forces continue tightening fire control over the Azov coast, placing growing pressure on Russia’s critical land corridor to Crimea. Russian television hosts now openly admit they fear Ukraine will soon be capable of launching more than 1,000 drones per day against Russian cities and infrastructure. In another humiliating incident, Russian forces reportedly shot down one of their own helicopters amid the chaos.

Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces continue to innovate at a staggering pace, releasing new combat footage showing drones equipped with up to eight missiles each accurately striking Russian targets. At the same time, the head of Ukraine’s Fire Point defense company says Kyiv is preparing capabilities that could effectively blockade Russian oil flows in both the Black Sea and Baltic Sea, threatening the very foundation of Russia’s wartime economy.

Inside Russia, the economic crisis continues spiraling. Russian bloggers accuse state media of hiding the scale of the catastrophe unfolding across the country. The State Duma reportedly calls emergency discussions on how to stabilize the collapsing economy as major Russian manufacturers warn industrial machine production has plunged by 51%. The property market is entering freefall, with new apartment sales in Moscow down 37% and Volgograd collapsing by nearly 49%. Russians increasingly struggle to afford even basic clothing, while in Irkutsk desperate locals openly beg China for economic assistance.
Political tensions are now surfacing openly. Some Russians are beginning to call for Putin to be replaced by Kremlin insider Sergei Kiriyenko as confidence in Putin’s leadership weakens further. Margarita Simonyan admits she and her family are hiding in fear of Ukrainian drone strikes, a stunning sign of how deeply the war is now reaching into Russia itself.

Meanwhile, reports emerge that Donald Trump is attempting to pressure Ukraine into handing over intellectual property rights related to its rapidly advancing drone technology — one of the most important military innovations of the modern war.

The balance of this conflict is changing rapidly, and even many Russians now understand it.
