Three weeks to the parliamentary elections in Hungary the ruling Fidesz is trailing the opposition and pro-European Tisza party.
– Tens of thousands of people gathered in the Czech capital, Prague, to protest the government of Andrej Babiš. Apart from accusations of democratic backsliding, demonstrators are concerned with the government’s plans to cut defense spending below the 2% GDP threshold required by NATO.
