Russia launched a wave of daytime drone attacks in western Ukraine, striking residential areas in Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Vinnytsia, killing three people and wounding more than 30. Ukraine’s air force reported that nearly 1,000 drones have targeted the country since Monday.
Other attacks over the past 24 hours occurred in the Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia regions. Russia’s Primorsk oil terminal has been burning for a second day following a Ukrainian strike on Monday. Ukraine also reported on Tuesday that its forces have destroyed a missile launcher in occupied Crimea.
Uncertainty surrounds peace talks, as Ukraine’s delegation has returned from the United States and briefed President Zelenskyy, with concerns growing in Kyiv that the war could continue for years amid shifting international focus.
