(FOX40.COM) — One person is dead following a collision in Sacramento on Wednesday, the Sacramento Police Department said.
Around 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Sacramento police officers responded to reports of a car hitting a pedestrian on the 5100 block of Stockton Boulevard.

Officers got to the scene, found a man down, and got him transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and is cooperating with officials.
Detectives with the Major Collision Investigation Unit and CSI have taken over the investigation.
