Overnight, Russia launched one of its most intense attacks on Ukraine this year, launching nearly 300 drones and firing 25 missiles, with energy infrastructure as the main target.
In Kharkiv, a strike on a Nova Poshta cargo terminal killed four people and injured several others. The attacks left tens of thousands of families without electricity, prompting scheduled power outages and the opening of resilience hubs across the country.
Amid the energy crisis, Ukraine’s parliament failed to approve Denys Shmyhal’s appointment as energy minister, while voting for Shmyhal’s resignation as defense minister and Mykhailo Fedorov as minister of digital transformation.
Meanwhile, Ukraine reported striking a Russian facility for drone production in Taganrog.
