In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian assault groups are searching for and eliminating enemy groups advancing in small units and attempting to gain a foothold in residential areas. Combat operations are taking place both on the approaches to Pokrovsk and within the city itself. The relevant information was presented by the Vostok group of Ukranian forces. The report says that the occupiers are unsuccessfully trying to infiltrate the northern outskirts of the city. "Our assault teams are clearing out the occupiers house by house ," Ukrainian defenders note, adding that special attention is being paid to eliminating enemy drone crews and the bodies of Russian soldiers were left on the streets.
The enemy is also attempting to attack in the direction of Mirnohrad, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces are confidently holding their positions and not giving the enemy a chance to consolidate their position on the outskirts of the city. Pokrovsk represents a place where Russia feels it must win, and where the Ukrainian armed forces are making them pay dearly for trying.

Even when the odds were overwhelming, when the sky was full of drones and the ground full of vehicles, the point was never merely to defend a name on a map. It was to turn the attacker’s momentum into a liability. Being encircled, starving, or outgunned changes the calculus: a town that refuses to fall on schedule forces your enemy into attrition, and that attrition is where strategy and politics meet.
