Continuous assaults continue in the Pokrovsk sector, with the Russian army actively using tactical aviation and air defense forces. According to Ukrainian military officials, the enemy has amassed a significant force in the region. It is attempting to dislodge the Defense Forces from their positions. Igor Yaremenko, chief of staff of an artillery reconnaissance division of one of the NGU artillery brigades says that enemy has amassed significant forces in the Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad area and is systematically pressuring the Defense Forces’ positions. According to him, assaults are ongoing, and the infidels are attempting to dislodge Ukrainian units from their positions. "The enemy has a distinct advantage in tactical aviation. Consequently, the Russian Federation continues to shell the KAB, destroying certain positions where the defense forces are entrenched," he noted. Due to the active use of guided aerial bombs, Ukrainian troops are forced to maneuver and change positions to minimize personnel losses and occupy more advantageous positions for further defense. According to the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Ukrainian Airborne Forces, Russian units have intensified their efforts to take Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad in a so-called "pincer" formation. Pressure has increased from the settlements of Kotlino and Rodynske . At the same time, the enemy is operating with small assault groups on the northwestern outskirts of Pokrovsk in the direction of Grishino. The Air Assault Forces said Russian troops are advancing in small assault groups from the north-western part of Pokrovsk towards Hryshyne. Ukrainian defence forces have been detecting and wiping them out as they try to gain a foothold on the settlement’s outskirts. A Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group attempted to infiltrate farmland north of Pokrovsk, but Ukrainian troops detected and destroyed it. Ukrainian forces continue active operations in the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration area. On the Pokrovsk axis, Ukrainian defenders stopped 21 Russian assault and offensive actions near Rodynske, Kotlyne, Filiia, and toward Novooleksandrivka and Novopidhorodnie. According to preliminary estimates, Ukrainian forces destroyed nine vehicles, 24 pieces of specialized equipment, two UAV control points, and an ammunition depot in this sector. In addition, two artillery systems, ten vehicles, and nine Russian personnel shelters were struck. Military officials noted that "the enemy has intensified efforts to encircle Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad, increasing pressure from the settlements of Kotlyne and Rodynske." "Units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces are countering these intentions. In particular, enhanced aerial reconnaissance is being conducted and additional mining of likely enemy advance routes is underway." Search-and-strike operations are being conducted to prevent further enemy advances. Combat equipment that Russian forces attempt to use to support their assault groups is being destroyed. Search-and-strike operations by Ukrainian units are also ongoing in Myrnohrad and its outskirts. Russian forces continue to employ small infantry group tactics, which critically depletes their manpower. Military officials stressed that Ukrainian forces are focusing not only on eliminating Russian infantry, but also drone operators. DeepState co-founder Roman Pogorely previously stated that Russian troops may control up to 95% of Pokrovsk , with active fighting continuing for certain neighborhoods in the northwest and near Rodinskoye. Over the past week, Ukraine’s defence forces killed and wounded 255 Russian troops, destroyed or damaged 19 vehicles and motorbikes, hit 29 drone launch sites, destroyed 36 shelters and storage points and downed 575 attack UAVs in the area.
