The Atesh partisan movement reported a change in the vector of work of the Russian punitive bodies in the area of the settlements of Vasylivka and Kamianka Zaporizhzhia Oblast. The command of the 1152nd motorized rifle regiment of the Russian Armed Forces ordered harsh "preventive measures" among the local population under the pretext of "preventive elimination of threats."
The military is being instilled with the idea that no loyal residents are left in the frontline villages. Any check of civilians begins with a search. In Kamianka, raids on private homes have been recorded, during which the occupiers seize equipment and mobile phones. The presence of any Ukrainian applications on smartphones becomes a reason for detention and "conversations" at the commandant’s office.
Often, detentions end in open robbery of property, which is recorded in the invaders’ reports as "seizure of means to ensure subversive activities." All this leads to sharp clashes between the local population and the Russian army.
The partisans claim to document every instance of violence and repression, collecting information on officers and enforcers who compile lists of "unreliable" residents. These materials, the movement emphasizes, are being recorded for future reference.
Recall, Russian forces began a relatively rapid advance in the farmlands to the east of Zaporizhzhia, advancing up to six miles in places — according to Ukrainian military officials — as territorial defense units that had been holding the area for two years crumbled under sudden and intense offensive pressure applied by Moscow’s forces.
Russia’s unexpected breakthrough in Zaporizhzhia represented a rare instance of battlefield mobility in a war that has become characterized by labored attritional warfare, in which mechanized troop concentrations and supporting armored vehicles quickly become easy prey for the flocks of drones incessantly swarming above the front lines.
Among the Ukrainian units deployed to stem the Russian advance was the 225th Separate Assault Regiment, which had previously been fighting to repel Russian forces along the shared border in the northeastern Sumy Oblast.
Previously, Atesh recorded discontent with the occupiers in Crimea.
According to their data, amid economic problems and a noticeable deterioration in social infrastructure, local residents are increasingly expressing dissatisfaction with the special treatment accorded to so-called "SVO participants." They complain that separate rules apply to them and their families, while the majority of Crimeans face rising prices, a shortage of services, and a lack of any promising prospects.
