Ukraine has struck the Shaheed drone storage and launch site at Donetsk airport, the General Staff of Ukrainian Armed Forces reported on Saturday. The attack was launched with the use of US ATACMS short-range ballistic missile and French SCALP air-launched long-range cruise missile. According to the press service of the General Staff, the strike was carried out by units of the Missile Forces and Artillery of the Ukrainian Ground Forces jointly with Ukrainian Air Force aviation. A large-scale fire and secondary detonations have been recorded at the site of the attack. Video footage of the operation captures moments of precision strikes that are followed by explosions and plumes of smoke. Additionally, as part of efforts to reduce the combat potential of the Russian army, units of the Ukrainian Forces carried out a series of additional strikes on March 6 and during the night of March 7. The targeted facilities include a drone control center of the Russian forces in the area of Dibrova in eastern Luhansk region, as well as a command and observation post near Kruhlyakivka in Kharkiv region. Ukrainian forces also struck Russian artillery systems at firing positions in the areas of Tavilzhanka in Kharkiv region, Voskresenka, and Novopavlivka in Donetsk region.
