Ukraine’s Defense Forces carried out a series of coordinated strikes on Russian military infrastructure in occupied areas overnight on April 3, Ukraine’s military leadership reported on Friday. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the operations targeted multiple storage facilities, troop concentrations, and fuel supplies used by Russian forces. The statement indicated that material and technical supply warehouses were struck in several occupied settlements, including Staromlynivka in eastern Donetsk region, Valyanovske in eastern Luhansk region, and Chervone Pole and Zoryane in southeastern Zaporizhzhia region. These sites were reportedly being used to store equipment and logistical resources supporting Russian operations. In addition, Ukrainian forces hit ammunition depots located near Rovenky and Shakhtarske, as well as a fuel and lubricants storage facility near Kondryuchia in Luhansk region, according to the same report. These strikes were aimed at degrading the enemy’s ability to supply frontline units with munitions and fuel. The General Staff also reported attacks on areas where Russian personnel were concentrated near Rozivka, along with a separate strike on an oil depot near Molochansk in Zaporizhzhia region. Earlier on April 1 and 2, Ukrainian forces targeted key energy and military targets in Russia and in occupied parts of Ukraine. In particular, “Bashneft-Novoyl” oil refinery in Ufa, located in the Republic of Bashkortostan, Russian Federation, was reportedly hit, with accounts stating that a direct impact occurred followed by a fire breaking out at the facility. The site is described as being far from the Ukrainian border – roughly 1,400 kilometers away. “Bashneft-Novoyl” is considered a major Russian producer of high-grade lubricants, including marine, hydraulic, and engine oils, and has an annual crude oil processing capacity of around 7 million tons. Additional reporting linked to the incident mentions that the refinery plays an important role in Russia’s fuel and energy infrastructure and is allegedly connected to supplying the country’s military needs. Authorities are currently evaluating the scale of the damage. Separate reports also refer to other strikes against Russian positions and facilities. These include the “Kulikovsky” training area near Novopetrivka in Zaporizhzhia region, as well as an ammunition storage site in Uspenivka, also in occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia region. Furthermore, several locations where Russian forces were reportedly concentrated were struck in different areas, including Kotlyne and Shandryholove in Donetsk region, as well as Berezove in Dnipropetrovsk region. Ukraine also inflicted heavy losses on the Russian army over the past day with 1,500 Russian troops killed on Friday. In addition, 1,230 1,236 drones, 177 military vehicles, 65 artillery systems, 6 armored vehicles, 3 tanks, 2 special equipment units belonging to the Russian army were eliminated over the past 24 hours.
