Ukrainian Defense Forces have launched a large-scale air strike on Hryshyne settlement in Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk region, eliminating a group of Russian soldiers. The operation was carried out by the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Air Assault Forces this week and targeted concentration of Russian personnel in the central part of Hryshyne. According to preliminary data, at least 15 occupiers – the servicemen from Russia’s 76th Guards Air Assault Division, the so-called “Pskov paratroopers” were eliminated. The video footage shared by the Ukrainian military shows the moment the building housing enemy personnel was hit. In a statement, 7th Rapid Response Corps stated that Russian troops continue to put pressure on Hryshyne, attempting to break through the defenses and gain a foothold in the settlement. “The enemy is using residential and public buildings as shelters. In response, units operating within the area of responsibility of the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Air Assault Forces are conducting reconnaissance and striking concentrations of Russian troops,” according to the statement. It should be noted that in late April, , the Operation Task Force East reported an escalation of the situation in the Hryshyne area, including attempts by Russian forces to intensify their offensive operations.
