President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said progress had been made at the Geneva peace talks with Russia and the U.S. on how to monitor a ceasefire and the end of the war. The Ukrainian leader said he was awaiting a full update from his negotiating team when they return.
Slovakia has declared a state of emergency over its oil supply. This comes after Bratislava and Budapest turned to Croatia requesting help, following disruptions in oil supply via the Druzhba pipeline, which has been offline since the end of last month.
When Russia ends its war in Ukraine, Moscow is likely to shift its military focus north, increasing pressure in the Arctic within just a few years. The warning comes from General Sami Nurmi, deputy chief of staff for the Finnish Defense Forces, who told TVP World that Russia could rapidly rebuild its combat power.
