Our main stories today:
– Poland’s FM Radosław Sikorski delivered his annual Foreign Policy Speech before the Polish Parliament, outlining some of the priorities of his ministry, including Polish alliances, support for Ukraine, and deeper cooperation with the EU.
– Overnight, Russia attacked Ukraine with drones and missiles again. Explosions could be heard in a number of cities, including the country’s capital, Kyiv, as well as Kharkiv, Kryvyi Rih, and Zaporizhzhia. Amid the strikes, Poland scrambled jets to monitor its airspace.
– Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a phone call ahead of Thursday’s meeting between U.S. and Ukrainian delegations in Geneva. After the phone call, Zelenskyy took to X to report that the U.S. and Ukrainian teams continue to work toward a peace agreement, and that he expects the planned trilateral meeting in March will bring an opportunity to “move talks to the leaders level.”
